About Us

4th Claremont Scout Group is a thriving community of young people and dedicated volunteers, united by the values of Scouting.

Our Group

4th Claremont Scout Group has been serving the local community for many years, providing young people with exciting opportunities to develop skills, make lasting friendships, and experience adventures they'll remember for life.

We meet weekly during school term time and organise camps, hikes, activities, and community events throughout the year. All our leaders are trained volunteers who are passionate about making Scouting a positive experience for every young person.

Our Sections

🦡

Meerkats

Ages 5–6

🕐 Thursdays 3:30pm – 4:30pm

Meerkats is the start of the Scouting journey. Young people enjoy games, crafts, stories, and begin to explore the outdoors in a safe, fun setting.

Cubs

Ages 7–10

🕐 Wednesdays 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Cubs build on the Meerkat experience with more outdoor activities, badge work, teamwork challenges, and their first overnight adventures.

🏕️

Scouts

Ages 11–18

🕐 Thursdays 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Scouts take on greater challenges — multi-day camps, navigation, first aid, community projects, and opportunities to develop real independence.

Our Leaders

All our leaders are fully trained volunteers who give their time freely. They hold up-to-date DBS checks and first aid qualifications. We are always looking for new volunteers — if you'd like to get involved as a helper or leader, please get in touch.
